FAQ

Common questions, direct answers.

Insurance, cost, referrals, HSA/FSA, Medicare, and what happens at your first visit.

No. New Jersey grants direct-access privileges to physical therapists. You can see us without a referral. If your insurance requires one for out-of-network reimbursement, check with your carrier separately.
Insurance restricts how many visits you can have, how long each session lasts, and which treatments your provider can use. We removed those restrictions so we can do what your body actually needs. Every session is 1-on-1 with your provider, using whatever assessment and treatment approach is most appropriate for your situation.

No. We are an out-of-network provider only. We do not submit claims on your behalf. You can self-submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement depending on your plan.
In many cases, yes. We provide receipts and billing codes. Reimbursement depends on your specific plan. Contact your insurance before starting to confirm their terms for out-of-network physical therapy and any preauthorization requirements.
Yes. Physical therapy is an eligible expense under HSA and FSA plans.
We are not enrolled with Medicare. Medicare does not reimburse for services from non-enrolled practitioners. Patients covered by Medicare cannot self-submit for reimbursement.
The discovery visit is 20 minutes, at no charge. No treatment is provided. A member of the team reviews your history, asks about what you have tried and what did or did not work, and identifies what might be driving your problem. You leave with a clearer picture of whether we are the right fit. No commitment required.
The initial evaluation is 90 minutes, 1-on-1. It includes a full-body movement screen (SFMA), assessment of joint mechanics, visceral organ tension, nerve pathways, and breathing patterns. Lifestyle factors like sleep, stress, and nutrition are part of the intake. You leave with a root cause identified and a treatment plan.
Three structural differences: (1) Every session is 1-on-1 with your provider, not with an aide. (2) We assess the whole body, including organ tension, breathing, and lifestyle factors, not just where you feel pain. (3) We are cash-based, which means no insurance company decides what treatment you can receive or how many visits you get.
